Beneath an eternal waterline, a knight/photographer, cast as an intruder, is slowly forgotten at the bottom of the river. The river gradually reclaims the images, memories, and “weapons” he once believed belonged to him.

This installation uses a corroded suit of armor as a stand-in for the photographer. Rust, water stains, engraved camera EXIF data, and photographs submerged in water collectively point to the act of image-making. The work reconsiders the photographer’s position as an observer: to enter a place is also to be changed by it.
